Sweet Calendula is ready to find a forever home where she can simply be a happy, cherished guinea pig. Her story started with a confusing surrender situation, and not long after arriving in our care, we were surprised to discover she was heavily pregnant. Tragically, her babies arrived far too early, and despite all our hopes, none of the three little ones survived. It was a heartbreaking chapter for this sweet girl, but she has shown so much resilience. After taking the time to fully rest, heal, receive extra TLC, and gain all her healthy weight back, Calendula is completely recovered and ready to leave the past behind. Her Personality & What She Needs: Gentle & Sweet-Natured: Despite everything she has been through, Calendula is a gentle soul who is learning how wonderful life can be. She responds so well to soft voices, calm handling, and consistent love. Thriving on Good Care: Now that her health is restored, she loves tucking into fresh leafy greens, sweet bell peppers, and endless piles of soft orchard and timothy hay. A Companion for Life: Like all guinea pigs, Calendula deserves species companionship. She would love to be bonded with a friendly, welcoming female or a neutered male who can show her the ropes of living a carefree life.
